You Can Help

AIDS Thunder Bay depends on the public to be able to carry out its work. You can help in this work in a variety of ways: becoming a volunteer, making a donation, or becoming a member. We also have a number of funders that we wish to acknowledge and thank for their support. NOTE: You can make a secure donation online through CanadaHelps.org. Click on the icon below.

Donations

All donations directly support our programs and services. Tax receipts are issued for all donations over $10. There are 4 ways that you can make a donation to AIDS Thunder Bay.

  1. Donate online, for a quick and easy way to support AIDS Thunder Bay.
  2. You may also donate by cheque using our printable donation form and mailing it to AIDS Thunder Bay.
  3. Please do not mail cash! Cash donations may be made in person at our office at 574 Memorial Avenue.
  4. If you have the United Way Employee Payroll Deduction at your work, you can designate AIDS Thunder Bay as your charity of choice. AIDS Thunder Bay is a registered charity and can receive donor designated funds from the United Way.

Membership

As a member, you help guide our future vision by voting for Board representatives and resolutions. In addition, with a paid membership you can stand for nomination to the Board of Directors. We will also keep you informed about what we are doing through our newsletter, Front Line and keep you updated on special events via email.

Memberships are in effect for the calendar year in which you register. Membership must be renewed by the beginning of October of every year, and we notify all active members prior to this date. Renewing by this date confirms your eligibility to vote at the Annual General Meeting. If you would like to become a member, please download and print the membership form. Forms can be mailed to AIDS Thunder Bay or dropped off at our office. If you have questions about membership, please call Crystal at 345-1516 extension 15.

Dress Down Days

Ask your company to allow an official AIDS Dress Down Day. For the privilege of dressing down, employees make a donation to ATB. AIDS Thunder Bay will provide you with information sheets, red ribbons, and donation forms. To find out how to take part in this type of event, call Crystal at 345-1516 extension 15.

Fundraising

A significant portion of our yearly budget is raised locally through various fundraising campaigns. AIDS Thunder Bay is very grateful to its many supporters among the citizens and businesses of the Thunder Bay region.
