Hep C Information
Hepatitis C Programming:
Hepatitis C is an integral part of what we do at AIDS Thunder Bay. We are now able to offer services to those living with and affected by Hepatitis C. These programs are made possible in part thanks from funding received from the AIDS Community Action Plan – Public Health Agency of Canada as well as from the Hepatitis C Secretariat – Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
Hepatitis C Outreach Project (HepCOP):
This program is being offered to those living with, affected by, and/or at risk for contraction of Hep C. We offer a number of services including:
- Weekly Hepatitis C Education/Support Groups
- Education & Workshop Presentations on Hepatitis C to staff and/or clients of community agencies
- Information, Counselling, and Advocacy
- Hepatitis C Resource Lending Library
- Peer Outreach Program
- Facilitating community development to identify and respond to the issues directly affecting people living with, affected by, or at risk of contraction of Hepatitis C
